As pregnancy carries its own warnings please take note
to avoid certain oils especially during the first 4
months of pregnancy. Also Homeopathic medicines do not
mix well with certain oils and may cause irritation
to the skin.
During summer many of us are prone to insect bites,
sunburn, and muscle aches from the extra activity. Essential
oils like Aloe Vera gel for the sun tan, Lavender, Geranium,
Tea Tree oil can be used for treating conditions like
burns, athletes foot, cuts scrapes, itching, insect
bites, headaches, muscle aches, cuts, and sores. Just
mix a few drops of either of these oils with a carrier,
and apply to exposed skin.
One should be careful while using Lavender oils as
they are not to be used during the early stages of pregnancy
or if one have low blood pressure.

Foot Massage |
| |
Feet when massaged lead to a feeling
of revitalization throughout the entire body, and spirit.
One can start a foot massage with some baby oil, a few
towels, and a tray of warm water. Light an incense stick
or candles next to you for better relief.
Soak your feet in warm water for about ten minutes.
Dry the feet well when removed. Now simply place your
hands gently around the feet for a few minutes. Apply
some small amount of oil in your hands and rub the sole
of the foot with your thumbs. Work your thumbs in a
circular motion all the way from the heel to the base
of the toes.
Then, make a fist with one of your hands. Press your
knuckles into the sole of the foot repeatedly, working
your way from the heel to the toes working with each
toe using the thumb and forefinger, then give a slight
tug to the toes. At the end gently press your fingers
and run your fingers along the foot to provide a relaxing
feeling. Repeat all of the above with the other foot.
After the massage, dry the feet thoroughly, and apply
baby powder, and try to drink plenty of water over the
next twenty-four hours.
