Center or Chi: The center is the last part of the bagua called the interior bagua. This area harmonizes all the areas together. It represents health and longevity and is the center of the Bagua. It should be as uncluttered as possible.

You can determine the Bagua of the home by the location of the front door. Apply your map with the Knowledge, Career and Helpful People Areas placed along the wall that contains your front door. The other six areas will follow from there. Once again would like to remind you that you can make use of this bagua to the entire building, Plot, each room, or even a desk.
Here is a step-by-step guide to apply the Bagua Map
to your Home, Room, Office or Property:
On a large sheet of paper, draw a sketch of the home. Make a plan of your house or room. If you have a square, rectangle or two or more floors--do a floor plan for each level and focus on one floor at a time. Finish off any missing areas to form a square. Write in the names of the rooms on your plan with a door on it facing your body. If you live upstairs, the landing of the stairs represents the front door if there is no other formal front door.

If your plot or house is L-shaped or U-shaped home, then you are using only some area and the other area of your life is vacant. Feng Shui restores balance and harmony, and one of the ways you can do this is by completing the L or U shaped plan of your area into a square, color that part of your drawing so that u can know it is not a part of your area.

To overcome the missing areas, you can build an arbor in the space, landscape with large potted trees or add a sculpture or wind chimes. This will help symbolically "fill in" the missing area.

Do not forget to include any areas that just out, such as a garage, a breakfast nook or a greenhouse

Now when your sketch is ready, Divide your floor plan into nine equal squares. Your front door entrance must be on the baseline on the Bagua map.

Either stand or imagine yourself at your open front door. If the front door is on the right side of your space, that sector represents Mentors. If the front door opens in the center of the space, it represents the Career area and if it opens on the far left, the Self-Knowledge/Wisdom area is represented. The wall with the front door can only be one of those three values or some combination of the two if the front door falls somewhere between two values. Fill in all the other areas of your home with the areas represented by the Bagua.

Now you know which rooms in your home relate to the various Feng Shui areas. If, for example, your bathroom is in the Wealth Area, you could be flushing your money down the toilet, so to speak! (Keeping the lids eliminates that problem.) You need to take steps to improve this area.

If you have two or more floors, the areas and rooms on each story correspond to each other. If, for example, your kitchen is in the far left corner downstairs and there is a bedroom above, both rooms are in your Wealth Areas.
