| Aim of Vastu Shastra: |
|
The co-ordination of 5 elements of the nature-- Earth,
Water, Fire, Air, and Space with the human activities
and to manage and use natural forces- solar power, magnetic
power and gravitational power with human life is the main
destination of Vastu Shastra.
Human's life is sometimes filled with tensions and
no satisfaction and this is due to our artificial life
style. Today we ignore, forget and rush away from Nature.
Nature a friend of human life is a center of unlimited
and immortal power of universe. Vedic Rishis (primitive)
believed that nature has unlimited power and it is omnipresent
and omnipotent that is why nature is a main creature
as well as destroyer, nature is developer and abstractor.
The knowledge to use the five elements of nature along
with the natural forces -magnetic, gravitational and
solar power to route to success and satisfaction with
convenience and safety is the main aim of Vastu Shastra.
The use of five elements of nature and natural forces
helps one to get physical power, mental strength and
be refreshed with satisfaction in life.

| What are the
Five Elements (Pancha Bhootas)? |
|
|
|
| Air (Vaayu) |
| Atmosphere of the Earth,
which is about 100 km deep, consists of oxygen, nitrogen,
carbon dioxide, helium, and other kind of gases, dust
particles, humidity and vapor in a certain proportion.
The life of all human beings, animals, and plant and even
of fire, a basic element depends on this. Sound and Touch
are the main characteristics of Vaayu. |
|
|
| Fire (Agni) |
| Represents light and
heat of burning fire, lightning, volcanic or plutonic
heat, the heat of fever or inflammation, energy, days
and nights, seasons and such other aspects of the solar
system along with enthusiasm, ardor, passion and spirited
vigor. The main characteristics of Fire are Sound, Touch
and Form. |
|
|
| Water (Jala) |
Water represents
in the form of rain, river, sea in the liquid state,
in the solid state as ice and in the gaseous state as
steam and cloud. Water is formed by the combination
of hydrogen and oxygen in the ratio of two to one. In
every life on Earth, water exists in a certain proportion.
Sound, Touch, Form and taste can be said as the main
characteristics of water (Jal).

|
|
| Earth (Bhoomi) |
| The Earth said to be
the third planet from the sun, is a big magnet with north
and south poles as centers of attractions. Its magnetic
field and gravitational force have strong effects on everything
on the Earth, living and non-living. It is tilted by about
23½ ° at the meridian on its either side for
six months and rotates in its own axis from West to East
resulting in day and night. Its one orbit around Sun takes
365¼ days. Three fourths of the Earth's surface
is water and one fourth is land. Its main characteristics
are Sound, Touch, Shape, and Quality. |
|
|
| Space (Aakash) |
| Space supports not only
our solar system but also the entire Galaxy. The effective
forces of Space are light, heat, gravitational force,
waves, magnetic field and others. Sound is the main characteristic
of Aakash.
Vastu codifies correct settings whereby one can place
him in such a manner to absorb the maximum benefits
of the Five elements (Pancha bhootas) along with the
influence of the magnetic fields surrounding the earth.
The scientific use of these elements paves the way for
a perfectly balanced environment, which ensures enhanced
health, wealth and prosperity.
When we synchronize our place of business and residence
with these nature's energies, our personal location
becomes a dynamic location, in order for nature to release
positive energy to benefit us. Otherwise, those energies
fight within each other thus creating an astronomical
amount of static and tension in your place of business
or home. The result is one of which there are more arguments,
more staff turn over, workers' unrest, more accidents,
customer dissatisfaction, legal problems and so on.
The knowledge that co-ordinates five elements of our
body with the five elements of nature along with natural
forces and benefit from nature and environment in our
daily activities and live or work with convenience and
safety is the aim of vastushastra.
